Our Women’s health Gp’s are also known as General Practictioner’s with special interest or GPwSI. Our Gp’s have all completed their specialist training in General Practice and there after undertaken further training in the areas of women’s health. They work within their scope of practice and credentials and are not gynaecologists. They bring a wealth of knowledge from their primary care background and in addition combine this with their women’s health training.

In our Women’s health clinic, we do not ‘enrol’ patients but see women for specialist appointments on a as needed basis.
Our clinic is a satellite service under Juno Health. This is our General Practice Service. Some of our GP’s also work in the traditional model of care at Juno Health. Like other primary care providers, our main clinic Juno Health has enrolment criteria which strictly apply.
We operate as a specialist women’s health service to compliment your GP care when needed. -
No. An appointment is made with each provider as appropriate. Standard fees for each provider apply. We do work as a multi-disciplinary team and if appropriate can refer to the services within our clinic in a timely and proficit manner.

Self referrals are welcomed for our Women’s Health Gp’s.
You can also ask your GP to send a referral through via ERMS otherwise.All new patients will need to complete a questionnaire form to ensure we can triage your appointment correctly.

In general, we suggest follow up with our GPwSI if blood tests or medications are initiated at the first appointment. Once medications are established and pending patient preference, you may return to your GP for ongoing prescribing. Some women chose to remain with our clinicians for their Women’s Health management. Patients will need to be seen for review 6-12 monthly based on clinician guidance to be able to issue repeat prescriptions.

We would standardly write to your usual GP to inform them of your current health concerns and management implemented or suggested. You will also get a copy of this. We are happy to discuss this with you, if you have any concerns.

No. If a referral is needed to allied health or specialist providers, we can refer to all public and private options.

To streamline your care and optimise your appointment time with Dr Jo, a referral is necessary. This can be from your GP or Nurse Practitioner.
You are also welcome to see our Specialist GP’s whom can work in conjunction with Dr Jo. This can ensure investigations and primary care management has been adequately trialled first.

You will need to check with your insurance provider prior to your appointment. General Practice is often seperate to specialist cover.
If you are with Southern Cross Health insurance, we can check through our easy claim portal.

We appreciate that IUD’s and pipelle procedures can be challenging for lots of reasons. We do our best to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible.
Unfortunately we do not offer sedation for these procedures in our clinic. However we can discuss options with you at your pre-consultation appointment, and at any point thereafter. This may include a joint procedure with our gynaecologist at our rooms or subsequent public or private referral options for procedures.

Four Physio can be booked directly via their website or referral via your GP on ERMS. Clinics at Juno Women’s Health are held on Wednesday afternoons currently.

All payments for consultations and in clinic procedures are required on the day to avoid late fees.
Additional $5 administration fee is charged for payments not settled within 5 days of the consult and every month thereafter. -
We do understand that life can get complicated and unforeseen circumstances do arise time to time.
You will receive a text reminder for your appointment to help with busy schedules. You are welcome to change your appointment up to 24 hours prior.
Missed appointments or late booking changes will incur a 50% fee which must be paid within 24 hours.
