  • Dr Beth is one of our GPs with an extended role in breastfeeding medicine.  She provides evidence based infant feeding support for parents and babies.
    She is passionate about helping babies to get the best start in life and fostering positive relationships between parents and pēpi.

  • If your cervical screening result was abnormal, or you have symptoms such as bleeding after sex, a colposcopy helps us take a closer look. It's a quick, simple procedure using a type of microscope to check your vulva, vagina and cervix and, if needed, take small samples for further testing.   • If you're experiencing discomfort, itching, or changes in your vulval or vaginal area, you're not alone — and there is help. We provide gentle, expert care to find out what’s going on and how best to treat it. Some of the more common conditions are genitourinary syndrome of menopause (also known as atrophy), contact dermatitis, lichen sclerosus, VIN, recurrent candida and BV.

  • Periods shouldn't disrupt your life but we know that 25% of women are affected by heavy periods and about half do not seek medical care despite the significant impact on their lives. There are many causes and the pattern of bleeding along with any other symptoms can be a useful guide. Irregular bleeding may not be only related to periods themselves but includes bleeding between periods and after sex. We can help you understand what’s normal, what’s not, and offer investigations to assess for causes and initiate treatments to ease heavy, painful, or unpredictable cycles.

  • Living with ongoing pelvic pain can be exhausting. We'll work with you to get find out what is going on and find a collaborative treatment plan that aims to bring relief. Pelvic physiotherapy plays a key role along with psychosocial strategies, and sometimes surgery, to improve symptoms and quality of life.

  • If you're feeling pressure, bulging, or discomfort, it might be a vaginal prolapse. We offer supportive care and treatment options to help you feel more comfortable and in control. Referral to pelvic physiotherapist colleagues is common, please ask about our packages of care.

  • Hormonal changes can affect every part of your life. Whether you're just starting to notice symptoms or have reached well into menopause, we’re here to support you with advice and treatment options that suit you.

  • Bleeding after menopause should always be checked. We’ll investigate gently and thoroughly, so you get clear answers and the right care. An ultrasound scan is our first line imaging test with the best images obtained from an internal/vaginal scan.

  • PCOS can affect your periods, fertility, skin, and much more – it a metabolic condition of the whole body related to abnormal hormone levels, including insulin. We offer assessment, investigation and personalised support to help you manage symptoms and feel your best, as well as aiming to reduce any long-term impacts on your health.

  • If you’re struggling with painful periods, fatigue, gut issues or pelvic pain, endometriosis could be the cause. We’re here to listen, investigate, and support you with a plan that works for your life. Unfortunately, endometriosis remains under-researched and we do not know all there is to know about it. This is changing and we believe a holistic approach is vital to helping you manage this chronic condition.

  • We offer friendly, confidential advice on contraception and sexual health — including IUDs, implants, and STI testing — so you can make choices that feel right for you.
